Magnesium Oxide
Product Description: Magnesium Oxide is white, light and loose amorphous powder. Odorless, tasteless, non-toxic. It is easy to absorb water and carbon dioxide when exposed to air. It is not easy to dissolve in water and alcohol. Its specific gravity is 3.58 (25 ℃). Its melting point is 2852 ℃. It is slightly soluble in pure water and organic solvents. It can dissolve in calculating or salt solution with molecular weight of 40.31.
Application: It is used for metallurgy, glass, thermal conductive plastics and refractory materials. It is also widely used in rubber, medicine, food industry, leather treatment agent, insulating material, grease, dyestuff, ceramics, desiccant, resin, soft magnetic ferrite, adhesives, chemical industry as catalyst and manufacturing high purity magnesium compounds, enamel, ceramics, glass and other raw materials.
